Awarded to ISC by McHugh Construction, this project is located in the heart of Chicago, IL and forms the junction between I-90/94 and I-290. According to a 2010 study by the Federal Highway Association (FHWA) and The American Transportation Research Institute the Jane Byrne Interchange is the slowest, most congested highway freight bottleneck in the nation with more than 300,000 vehicles traveling through the Interchange daily. Construction of new ramps and bridges on this interchange will help to alleviate some of the existing congestion. This structure is the westbound ramp from I-90/94 and I-290 and is approximately 2,500 tons of steel, including 125 plate girders. All girders were metalized and cross-frames were galvanized
